SENIOR ATTORNEY
Michael is a Senior Attorney with the firm. He is experienced in a wide range of civil and regulatory litigation matters involving construction, real estate, and personal injury. Since becoming licensed to practice law in Colorado, Michael’s litigation practice has focused on construction defect, breach of contract, insurance bad faith, premises liability, products liability, and catastrophic injury claims. Michael also enjoys counseling clients on NFA regulated firearms and Gun Trusts.
Prior to moving his family to Colorado, Michael owned a solo law practice in Kansas where he litigated real estate disputes, quiet title, zoning exemptions and criminal defense. Michael’s early legal experience in Kansas also includes litigating oil and gas matters for the Conservation Division of the Kansas Corporation Commission and drafting business contracts and agreements while serving as a law clerk at a local law firm. His range of experience provides a reasoned approach to a breadth of litigation issues.
While enrolled at Washburn Law, Michael was a student attorney in the Civil Litigation Clinic and an intern for a law firm in Topeka, Kansas. He also participated in the oil and gas and business law societies as a member and officer. Michael holds a Juris Doctor degree from Washburn University School of Law and a bachelor’s degree from Washburn University.
