FOUNDING MEMBER

Ben is a founding member of the firm. He has a broad range of experience involving business litigation; construction defect litigation; commercial, fraud, and civil litigation; commercial and residential leases; insurance; trademarks; business and construction contracts; and real estate matters. Ben’s broad experience is a great asset to his clients — it helps him identify and red-flag potential legal issues his clients do not even know are presenting risk.

His philosophy is that it takes more than knowledge of the law to be a good lawyer–a good lawyer is candid with potential clients and clients alike, and counsels them about the legal risks they or their businesses face. Ben enjoys working with his clients to achieve the results they desire.

Prior to founding Volpe Law, Ben worked for an insurance defense law firm in Denver, Colorado, where his practice focused on construction defect litigation, breach of warranty and builder disputes, business/commercial litigation, and multi-state complex general casualty litigation.

While attending law school, Ben worked in various legal roles to gain practical experience. He conducted substantive legal work at the Department of Justice, Civil Frauds Division, where he assisted attorneys in investigating international pharmaceutical companies; at a national insurance company, where he assisted members of the general counsel office with business, trademark, and regulatory work; at the D.C. Superior Court, where he assisted a judge with review/analysis of court filings in developing written orders; at a business and employment law firm, where he assisted attorneys with motions, legal research, and legal memoranda; and at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia, where he assisted attorneys with legal briefs.

Ben was an editor for his law school’s law review journal and graduated from law school with honors.

Prior to law school, Ben worked in both local and federal investigations and law enforcement.

Ben has a Juris Doctor degree from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law and a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.
